Privacy policy

This policy explains how Restaurant Two ("we", "us"), Race Course Road, Hatton 22000, Sri Lanka, handles personal data when you use this website, place an order or contact us. We process personal data in line with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
What we collect
- Details you give us in the contact form: your name, phone number, email address (optional) and message.
- Your email address if you join our newsletter.
- Order details if you pay online: your name, phone number, the dishes you order and your collection time. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data our host needs to deliver the site securely, such as your IP address, kept in short-lived server logs.
If you message us on WhatsApp or call us, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp or your phone provider under their own terms.
How we use it
- To answer your message, take your booking or prepare your order (to take steps you have asked for).
- To send you our newsletter, only if you have signed up (your consent). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep records of paid orders as the law requires (legal obligation).
- To keep the website safe and working (our legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a few trusted service providers to run this website:
- Cloudflare (website hosting and form processing)
- Stripe (online card payments, when available)
- Resend (sending order confirmations, form messages and newsletters)
- Google (the embedded map and our reviews feed)
Some of these providers process data outside Sri Lanka, under their own data protection safeguards.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
